We are pleased to announce that from 1 January 2017, Giusto Faravelli Spa will be distributing Bel Industries ingredients in the North and Central Italy area.

 

Bel industries belongs to Fromageries Bel SA Group, present in 33 states with 30 manufacturing plants, a turnover of 2.9 billion € and 12000 employees.

 

Bel Group has been working in the dairy sector for 151 years mainly with products for final consumers  with brands like Babybel®, Leerdammer®, La vache qui rit®, Kiri® and Boursin®.

 

Since 1955, "Bel Industries" -  the B2B division of Bel Group - is a world leader in the production of blends based on multi-functional milk proteins, designed to improve food applications and make innovative functional solutions.

 

Bel Industries productions sites are located in Vendome (France, 150 km south of Paris); the production process starts from whey coming mainly from its own cheese production sites in the surrounding area. This ensures among other things a "chain" quality control and a correct positioning in terms of price of its formulations.
35 people work at Vendome in the R&D team and, among them, 7 are completely devoted to Bel Industries, able to constantly develop new ideas/recipes. The company is also prepared to develop tailor-made products upon specific requests.
As Faravelli, we will have for Italy a Bel specialized technical expert (Italian mother tongue) to support us in projects, developments and product promotion.

 

The main aim of these formulations is the replacement of skimmed milk powder, in applications such as ice creams (finished ice cream and mix for artisans), yogurt, chocolate formulations and baked goods (biscuits, custards, etc.).

 

The particular formulation of Bel products compared to skimmed milk also brings a number of functional advantages, such as the emulsifying action, the ability to create creaminess and improve palatability. Another non-negligible advantage is the stabilization of average price of raw material compared to milk powder, which is notoriously subject to significant price fluctuations.

 

The quality and food safety are at the heart of Bel Industries priorities which also complies with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP+, Halal, Kosher certifications.

 

Bel Industries exports 84% of its production to 50 different countries.

Nollibel® is appreciated worldwide for the production of industrial and homemade ice creams.

 

Nollibel is the brand that characterizes preparations based on functional proteins. Thanks to the particular production process of these products, they acquire very good emulsifying properties. They are used mainly in the ice cream industry, making it more creamy and decreasing the speed of thawing. They can replace 1: 1 skimmed milk powder adding value to the product in terms of structural and sensory characteristics.

 

Belka CB is instead directed to chocolate and spreads manufacturers, they are functional preparations in the crystallization control which enhance also to improve the rheology of the finished product.

 

For the processing of dairy beverages, we propose Belka DL, resistant to high temperatures, it imparts milky taste, palatability and opacity to the product.

 

In the bakery, Belka BP  has an improving action in the color and structure, and allows to optimize costs compared to milk powder.
