The Brazilian company Blanver, world leader in the production of excipients for the pharmaceutical and food industry, and Giusto Faravelli’s long-established partner, has recently updated its product portfolio and decided to rationalize the manufacturing chain and propose the following four types of cellulose microcrystalline:

- Microcel 101: it is the product with lowest particle size and therefore more suitable for granulation, both dry and wet.

- Microcel 102: great for direct compression, it is also indicated in granulation and capsule filling.

- Microcel 12 and Microcel 200: they have the largest particle size and are suitable for direct compression, especially in case of poorly flowing active ingredients; they are also used as diluents in the filling of capsules.

Microcel® is obtained from purified cellulose extracted from pine or eucalyptus. It is an inert product, safe and stable, composed by highly compressible porous particles.

All types of Microcel produced promote the absorption of liquid plant extracts in the production of tablets and may replace the traditional dried extracts; as well as they promote the absorption of oils for use in tablets, hard capsules and soft capsules/oily.
