A revolutionary antioxidant

Teupol is an extract of Ajuga reptans titrated into teupolioside.
It is a strong antioxidant: studies confirm a much more powerful action than even resveratrol, rutin and vitamin C.
It inhibits 5-alpha reductase thereby decreasing the production of dihydroxytestosterone (DHT), the active form of testosterone: it may be a valuable promoter of prostate wellbeing and acne-prone and oily skin.

Distributed in Italy by Faravelli, Teupol is produced by ABResearch - an Italian biotech company - from cell cultures, using a unique and revolutionary technology to obtain high quality and environmentally sustainable extracts.
In the extraction process, water and soil are used to a minimum, without the use of solvents and pesticides.
This results in standardised extracts that overcome the problems of availability and seasonality.

For the production of Teupol, after selecting Ajuga reptans and the most suitable parts of the plant, these are first grown in a plate and then in liquid suspension.
Once standardised and optimised, the cell lines ferment inside bioreactors.
These steps are then followed by the extraction and lyophilisation of the extract.
