With over 30 years of experience, Solus Advanced Materials produces phospholipids, phospholipid complexes and natural extracts for the international cosmetics market.
The products are based on soya and sunflower lecithin, used as natural emulsifiers in cosmetics and produced according to phosphatidylcholine (PC) content.
Lecithin is one of the most common phospholipids (Pl), a class of polar lipids that support the body's vital functions.
In cosmetics, due to their chemical structure and physico-chemical properties, phospholipids are quite unique ingredients.
They are used as technical ingredients and as cosmetic actives.
As technical ingredients, they are used as emulsifiers, solubilisers and wetting agents.
As actives, the natural phospholipids isolated from soya beans provide the essential fatty acids linoleic acid and linolenic acid.
They are known for their ability to maintain healthy skin and improve skin disorders such as acne vulgaris and neurodermatitis, or to slow down skin ageing.
In addition, they play a role in liquefying the stratum corneum and improving penetration (SPC) or act as compounds that strengthen the skin barrier function (HSPC).
The availability of these quality-controlled natural compounds in various grades and variants provides the formulator with a valuable tool for designing optimal cosmetic formulations.
Solus Advanced Materials ingredients are safe, derived from natural materials, with exceptional effects in improving the skin barrier, hydration and the appearance and depth of wrinkles.
Solus Advanced Materials lecithins are distributed in Italy by Faravelli Cosmetic Division. Request more information at cosmetico@faravelli.it
